May Every child sing and smile
Welcome to the 3rd International Workshop of the ICPF! We are honoured that you have chosen San Francisco as the venue for the CLEFT 2011 Workshop. Our team has worked very hard to put together an academic program and we hope that you will enjoy it. Over 20 faculty members, keynote speakers, and invited speakers will share their knowledge, experience, and visions with us during our three-day workshop.
There will be altogether 54 oral presentations and 50 poster presentations. The attendance of the CLEFT 2011 workshop is close to 200 participants from 27 countries. The majority of them are developing countries, which was made possible thanks to supporting from the Smile Train and other sponsors.
This workshop’s theme is “May Every Child Sing and Smile”. We are increasing emphasis not only on improving treatment and helping every child who is born with a cleft – even in the poorest parts of the world – to smile, laugh, talk, and sing like others but also on looking beyond the immediate needs – to implement all existing knowledge toward prevention of cleft lip and palate.
Please, enjoy your stay in our beautiful city and thank you for your participation in the CLEFT 2011 Workshop!
