CLEFT 2004 Halifax, Canada

THE 3RD WORLD CONGRESS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CLEFT LIP AND PALATE FOUNDATION

June 22 - 26, 2004 in Halifax, Canada

Congress Theme: The Patient Comes First - Defining Directions

Welcome Message

CLEFT 2004 takes place under the honorary patronage of the Her Honour, the Honourable Myra A. Freeman, Lieutenant  Governor of Nova Scotia, for which the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation is deeply grateful.

It is both an honour and pleasure for us to welcome you to Halifax for the third biennial World Congress of the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation.

The scientific organising committee has compiled an exceptional program concentrating on the most relevant issues in the management of cleft lip and palate and related anomalies. The scientific program will include primary and secondary cleft surgery, orthognathic surgery, speech, destruction osteogenesis, foundation sciences, orthodontics and many other topics of interest to you. The Congress is designed to permit most presentations to be in plenary session so that the greatest possible interdisciplinary and direction can take place. Moreover the focus of each presentation is on the demonstrable benefit to either or both of the individual patient or cleft lip and palate patients in general, hence the theme The Patient Comes First: Difining Directions.

The meeting also has its goal to provide an ambience where we can all foster and maintain international fellowship and understanding. We have arranged a traditional lobster feast and an historic dinner at the Halifax Citadel among the many events that you can enjoy during the congress.

Welcome to CLEFT 2004 in Halifax!
